The conference, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Report on Business Magazine, is a forum for health care administrators and professionals to address the future of health care in Canada.  This lecture series focused on increasing the quality of patient care through the transmission of health information. 

Dr. Chris Mazza, Medical Consultant for UMED, spoke on The Future of Electronic Patient Records and the vital role already played by UMED.  He stresses that providers and participants in the ‘care' of a patient are not designed to ‘share' information and cites UMED as a current system designed to alleviate this problem.
