Accuracy
Forms are designed with many check boxes, thus eliminating misspellings and other miscommunications.
Nurses enter the data and will be able to note discrepancies in the information.
Review copies are sent to the subscriber and, if appropriate, to the physician.
Nurses do updates and can therefore prevent errors from getting into the database.
When a physician calls into the call centre, he or she speaks with a nurse who understands medical terminology & can accurately convey the correct information.
Computer System Security and Integrity
For Call Centre personnel:
- Access to the database is regulated via administrative passwords. Only nurses and designated personnel can get into the database.
- Call Centre employees are carefully screened to assure competency and integrity.
For Computer Back-up that ensures that we'll always be available for you:
The medical records database is backed up daily.
On a weekly basis the entire system is backed up.
Copies of the system & database are kept at a remote, secondary location.
Both the primary and secondary computer system have fully redundant, mirrored systems that will take over instantaneously in the event of a system failure. |
