Accuracy

  • Forms are designed with many check boxes, thus eliminating misspellings and other miscommunications.
  • Nurses enter the data and will be able to note discrepancies in the information.
  • Review copies are sent to the subscriber and, if appropriate, to the physician.
  • Nurses do updates and can therefore prevent errors from getting into the database.
  • When a physician calls into the call center, he or she speaks with a nurse who understands medical terminology & can accurately convey the correct information.

Computer System Security and Integrity

For Call Center personnel:

  • Access to the database is regulated via administrative passwords. Only nurses and designated personnel can get into the database.
  • Call Center employees are carefully screened to assure competency and integrity.

For Computer Back-up that ensures that we'll always be available for you:

  • The medical records database is backed up daily.
  • On a weekly basis the entire system is backed up.
  • Copies of the system & database are kept at a remote, secondary location.
  • Both the primary and secondary computer system have fully redundant, mirrored systems that will take over instantaneously in the event of a system failure.
